Many young families one parent of which is a Russian citizenship would like their children to obtain Russian Citizenship and to carry on the Russian line. Often, they postpone this process due to the existing opinion that the process is complicated and long. However, in the last few years the Russian Consulate improved the procedure, and in this article, I’ll try to simplify this procedure even more.
Here is the list of documents that you have to translate and submit in electronic format to the Russian consulate:
– Child’s Birth Certificate
– Child’s US Passport (if available)
– Marriage Certificate of parents
– US Passport of an American parent
Isn’t it easy?!
p.s. Don’t forget to verify documents that were issued in the US with Apostille from Richmond before you send them to me for translation.
